An Indian dish consisting of rice and cumin seeds. It is a very popular dish in the Indian subcontinent and is most commonly used as an everyday rice dish. It is served with any choice of side dish or gravy.
Basmati Rice

Pure Cow Ghee
0.5 tbsp
Bay Leaf
0.5 leaf
Cloves
1 Clove
Cinnamon

Cumin Seeds
1 tsp

0.25 tsp
Water

Prep
Rinse and soak basmati rice for 15 minutes, set aside.
Drain and add it to the pressure cooker along with cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf and star anise.
Pressure cook for 4 whistles on low medium flame and fluff up the rice when the pressure releases naturally. Add salt if needed.
Cooking
Heat ghee in a kadai, add jeera and green chili let it crackle. Add it to rice.
Add coriander leaves and mix well. Serve jeera rice hot.
